Posts: 190 (11/11/09 12:53 PM) Sigil of the Backdraft Order of the Arcane Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None After returning from downstairs Andarious finds himself looking at Kanolth apologetically before carefully taking time to explain something prior to opening the door. "Look, don't overreact if someone's in the room alright?" He carefully opens the door and peer's in, "Ciryn you are a madwoman and you outdid yourself really." Andarious smiles a bit and ushers Kanolth in, Trellana and Ramili are forced to wait in the hall for a moment as he holds up a hand stopping them. "Kanolth, you've met Ciryn right?" he motions to the halfling woman. She's standing by a chair, there is a man tied to the chair identifiable as the man who attacked Andarious earlier. "He's really mad Andy." Ciryn says pointedly, "I had to bind him to stop him from actually trying to kill you this time, I've explained that it would be a bad idea but he's not listening, he's demanding extra pay." Andarious looks to Kanolth for approval. "Got any spare platinum brother? I kind of tapped out setting this up." The man, who's gagged by knotted rope lets out a muffled cry of rage and shakes the chair.

He offers Trellana a curt nod to wait there if it pleases her before the door slams shut. He sighs as he stretches his neck to and fro and drops his bandolier on the table. He looks at the two apparent friends of Andarious as he pulls out the chair and takes a seat. "I haven't met her no. At least I don't think I have...." He then peers over to his brother and offers a nod. "Well the look of surprise on my face was unmistakable. Meaning that the altercation you staged is as genuine as a good old fashioned brawl. I'm going to put the value at ooooh about five thousand." She turns to the poor bastard Andarious battered earlier that evening for approval. The man is almost vibrating with anger still but he nods finally and relaxes. Andarious looks displeased, "I'll have to owe you the money Kanolth, but I think with our plan it won't be a problem." He looks over at the door and laughs a bit. "We'll keep this between us for now though. And no kicking each other in the very limited family jewels." "Okay Ciryn I'm going to give you two a nice sendoff elsewhere, any particular favorite vacation spot?" After a few seconds she says, "I hear Thurgadin is nice this time of year." The man in the chair beside her once more seems a bit distressed. "Fine fine, we'll go for North Karana, and head to Highpass."

"Five thousand platinum? You must be joking. Do I look like I carry around that kinda money?" He offers an indignant snort as he looks over at the new mercenaries with clear disdain. "What other services did you perform for my brother here, halfing? Dear lord Andarious, I hope you bathed after." He lets out a chuckle, and shakes his head. "In all seriousness, five thousand platinum is an awful lot for such a simple service as getting your arse kicked over the span of a few moments. Sounds like extortion to me."

He shrugs and reaches out a hand touching the man and he simply vanishes. The look of panic on the fellows face though is completely priceless just before he disappears. "Oops." Says Andarious. "Where did you send him Andy?" Asks Ciryn. "Cobalt Scar." He shrugs with a smile, "We'll see how he gets along with the locals... the drakes and wyverns might rip him apart if they see him, if he's lucky he'll make it to the Othmir first... they're pretty sociable, as long as he doesn't fall sway to the sirens or meet the bulthar... I really should have sent him somewhere nicer." The little halfling then walks over to Kanolth and whispers, "I only bathe after if I feel dirty sweetheart... and I make more of a point to clean up before than after, it's just polite." With a wink she waves to Kanolth and reaches for Andarious's hand. "See you soon Ciryn. Try not to let that poor sod get killed, he might be useful again some day," He says and touches her hand in a friendly embrace, she vanishes. "Stryghton's cousin... nice girl really but she can certainly be a trouble maker." He walks over and opens the door waiting to catch someone as he feels a bit of pressure on it from the outside.

"Eheh...ah, sorry." The tone of her voice allows that she is anything but, though a strangely frightened glimmer in her single eye is visible as she looks at Andarious.

"That was Stryghton's cousin?" he chuckles. "That explains their expensive needs. Although I think sending them out the door with a kick in the arse would have sufficed.... Not sending them... heh... all the way to Cobalt Scar. On a positive note, unless they find a wizard, they'll be gone for months if they survive the trip that is." He turns to the door. "You can come in now."

"Glad you could wait, I just had some business to take care of first." "Excuse my behaviour please, and as Kanolth says come in. What brings you two out this way anyway?" He leaves the door ajar and sits on the bottom bunk of the bed.

She picks up a lamp and inspects it with a mutinous set to her mouth, then when she is sure all attention is on her, shrugs and answers. "Trellana wanted to settle some inheritance thing at some tavern. She wants be to translate for her -- obviously. I've been told it's good behavior or no food for a week, though I daresay I've mucked that up already." She grins and winks at the monk, pulling a fist sized glass ball from her pocket and rolling it around her hand absent mindedly. "What are you two doing out here? Terrorizing smarmy inkeepers, I'd wager?"

Her tone of voice suggests less translating, and more educated guessing. "Nahh, not this dump. Some tavern down by the docks, apparently, though I'm not supposed to tell you and risk having it burned down." She runs a hand through her hair, ruffling it thoroughly, though one clump stays over her ruined eye. "As to you, Kanolth, I would like to know. C'mon, you two are a riot, and we're both headed to Freeport anyway, eh?"

What a perfect opportunity to get the word out that Kanolth and Andarious were coming to Freeport than to tell the loosest lips this side of the Rathe. But.... but they were Wayfarers and he did not put his fellow sigils at risk, despite the occasional temptation. Ramili was annoying and he wouldn't be affected should something happen to her if the situation was any different. But she was the Sigil of the.... something or other, and that made her special in that respect. "We are going to Freeport to enjoy the hospitality of its women," Kan says with a smirk. "It has been a while since Andy and I had a holiday, and we picked Freeport, because well.... What happens in Freeport. Stays in Freeport. Or so the brochure told us." He looks over at Andarious and offers a sly grin. "And you two.... ladies for lack of a better word, are in danger of cramping our style. Having you two tagging along will make it all the more difficult to make friends with the locals, and we dark elves have a hard enough time as it is. So we'll travel with you as far as the gates, but then I think it would be best if we part company from that point on."

"Yes, easy women in Freeport. They really put the free in Freeport as it were." "Nothing at all to do with family business or anything like that. Especially nothing to do with any thugs that might have been a recent nuisance." His usual smile turns into a shit eating grin. "Just to the gates. Or you'll cramp our style. Like the man says."

"You two better watch out for crabs, all I'm sayin'. You know those seaside towns." She hops off the dresser and stretches expansively, then hooks an arm through Trellana's, grinning. "Alright, boys, we'll head to bed now. See you 'round...oh, the 7th bell of the morning sounds fair enough, eh? Have fun discussing those thugs of yours."

"I don't mean to be all cloak and dagger, especially after telling you how I want to spread the word we're heading the Freeport." He gets up from his chair and sits down on his bed. "But I don't want those two involved. Too many variables to keep track of, what with them being my Wayfarers and all. If anything were to happen to them on account of me, well.... I'd rather spare myself any potential guilt. You understand I hope?"
